Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has urged relevant parliamentary committee to hold hearings dedicated to discussion of prolongation of moratorium on land market.
At the meeting of the Conciliatory Council on Monday, Groysman called the moratorium issue to be very important and said that the Parliament had registered six respective draft laws.
"I believe it is impossible to open the land market today as there is no land market in Ukraine, as that could be used for violations and inefficient use of the resource — a national legacy belonging to the Ukrainian people," he said.
"The moratorium will be prolonged unless new quality system is created to allow landowners to use this resource effectively and to avoid financial speculations and misuse of land," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
